Historically Indonesian food is very much part of the Dutch culture and diet. The reason is because of the spice trade. Indonesia was part of that route. Dutch food by itself is not very deep. I know some will argue the point. The Dutch do, however, appreciate good food. This is no exception. Indrapura is ranked number 1 Indonesian restaurant in Amsterdam. Luckily, it is right across the street from hotel. No need to wander around lost in Amsterdam like I have done many times already by myself.
